Group marks five years of growth

Target 2026: Udon to reach 100 global locations

International expansion drives corporate strategy

Udon Asian Food closed the 2025 fiscal year with total revenue of 57.6 million euros, representing a 9% increase over the previous year. The Barcelona-based restaurant group has now achieved five consecutive years of growth, supported by a robust franchise model and an ambitious international expansion plan.

Consolidation of the traditional dine-in model

Barcelona, 02/02/26
During 2025, on-site consumption established itself as the primary engine of Udon’s business, accounting for 85.2% of total turnover.

This figure represents a 4% increase compared to 2024. In contrast, delivery orders accounted for 12.6% of 2025 revenue, while take-away sales reflected 2.1%. Both off-premise formats saw a slight decline in popularity compared to the previous year, with decreases of 3.4% and 0.9%, respectively. These metrics highlight the brand’s success in driving foot traffic back to physical locations, reinforcing the value of the in-restaurant experience over the home-delivery trends that dominated previous cycles.

Strategic momentum through global market expansion

Udon’s restaurant network saw double-digit growth last year, expanding from 74 locations at the end of 2024 to 85 by the close of 2025.

The American continent served as the main stage for this international growth, with seven new openings in high-relevance markets such as Mexico and Chile. To support this expanding operational footprint, the company strengthened its corporate structure by adding over 200 employees, bringing the total workforce to 1,074 professionals. Management indicates that this global reach is essential for increasing brand recognition and establishing the group as a leading international reference in high-quality Asian gastronomy.

Operational forecasts and 2026 growth targets

Looking ahead to 2026, Udon Asian Food has set a target to reach 100 global restaurants and achieve 65 million euros in turnover.

The strategic plan for the first quarter includes further expansion in Latin America, with a second location in Mexico, a third in Santiago de Chile, and an initial entry into the Peruvian market. Domestically, the company will focus on the travel channel, partnering with operator Areas to open a new site at Barcelona-El Prat Airport’s T1 terminal. Additionally, the group will continue its investment in refurbishing existing Spanish locations to maintain competitive service standards across its entire national network.
